- The collection includes the aptly named, award winning red Scrumptious, bred in the 1980s and regarded as one of the best modern apples from the renowned breeder Hugh Ermen. Its crisp white flesh is sweet (but not sugary) with a thinner than average skin for easy eating
- James Grieve is an RHS award winning dual purpose apple which holds its shape well when cooked and sweetens for eating straight from the tree as the season goes on. Extremely reliable and a heavy cropper.
